Unwild; regrowth, disruption and re-decline in the South East of Australia

The Australian landscape is one of regrowth, disruption and re-decline, a changing landscape heavily influenced by the human hand. Our environment has always been managed and our ideal of some prior untouched wilderness is fantasy; there is no such thing as wilderness here.

Each of these photos capture disruption rooted in some form of human culture; forestry, agriculture, infrastructure, fire.
